Alfredo Binda Cycling Team Varese was founded in 1929 by Alfredo Binda, personality that has marked the history of the heroic cycling. In 2008 the UCI has assigned to Alfredo Binda C.T. the organization of World Road Race Championships in Varese. In 2014 Alfredo Binda Cycling Team Varese has organized the Italian Women's Championship on the road, both the Junior category that elite.

We also collaborate in the staging of TRITTICO REGIONE LOMBARDIA, the most important event in the Italian sport cycling scene.

The Tre Valli Varesine is a male road racing race that takes place in the province of Varese since 1919, category 1.HC of the European UCI calendar (the world organization coordinating the international cycling activity).
Together with the Coppa Agostoni Cup and Coppa Bernocchi, it completes the Trittico Lombardo, the classic international cycling event of mid-September.
The Three Valleys that give the name to the competition are Valcuvia, Valganna and Valtravaglia.

During its history (the race was suspended only in 1943-1944 because of the war) Tre Valli Varesine sees the participation and victory of the most known names of national and international cycling from Coppi (1941-1948-1955) and Magni (1947), to pass later in the 60s and 1970s to Motta (1965-1966-1967-1970), Merckx (1968), Basso (1969) and Moser (1976-1978).

In the 1980s the stars of Saronni (1977-1979-1980-1988), Ballerini (1987) and Bugno (1989) shone. Up to the present day with the victories of Chiappucci (1994), Rebellin (1998), Celestino (2001), Di Luca (2003) and Nibali (2015).
Since the race is reserved for professionals, we can count five winners belonging to Varese: Albino Binda (1930), Severino Canavesi (1934), Giuseppe Fezzardi (1962) and Stefano Garzelli (2005-2006).

To confirm that the Tre Valli Varesine is an international competition with a competitive track, for the 2016 edition the selected teams have been 27 from all over the world belonging to the UCI World Team categories such as the Astana Pro Team , Team Giant-Alpecin, Movistar Team, Tinkoff, Lampre-Merida, Orica-BikeExchange, BMC Racing Team, Cannondale-Drapac, FDJ, teams of the UCI Professional Team and UCI Continental Team such as Skydive Dubai - Al Ahli Club and the Nazionale Italiana Team.

Gran Fondo Tre Valli Varesine is a long-distance cycling race on the road but also a holiday dedicated to all bike lovers and their families. The Gran Fondo is open to all enthusiasts who want to challenge on the long distance. The competition starts and ends in Varese crossing the Three Valleys that give the name to the competition.
